Dr. House Learned From Him

Good morning my loyal Painkillers, anime fans, and newbies to the site. Welcome to another edition of Anime Wednesday. Today I have a good one for you guys, but first a question. Would you let an unlicensed surgeon preform a life saving operating on you or a love one if he was the only one that could do the operation? If so, how much would you pay? Here is Black Jack.

The series follows a surgeon known as Black Jack. He suffered a terrible accident at a young age, and was put back together by Dr. Jotaro Honma, who later became Black Jack’s mentor. He lost his medical license due to going against his superiors. He now spends his days living with his adoptive daughter Pinoko, that takes care of the house, and even assists Black Jack in some surgeries. Black Jack has a reputation of being cruel for charging outrageous fees for his service, and may doctors look down on him, due to not having a medical license.

Black Jack is a hell of a character. He dates back to 1979. There have been plenty of manga, movies, and series about Black Jack. They are all very good, but the one I’m sending you to is the series that came out in 2004, that is currently on Tubi. I hope that you watch and enjoy. Until next time everyone!
