I Only Need One Round; Golden Gun!

Pewpew!

Good morning my loyal Painkillers, and welcome to another addition of Grab A Buddy Monday. Today I have real treat for you. Weather you guys play games like Halo, Call Of Duty, or any other modern first person shooter game, they all owe thanks to the game I’m going to tell you about today. So, now it’s about that time, to grab three of your buddies, hook up your Nintendo 64, and let’s play some Goldeneye 007.

This game came out in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, and is based on the 1995 movie Goldeneye, staring Pierce Brosnan. The game follows the storyline of the movie, and it is great, but we are not here to talk about the single player mode. We are here to talk about the multi player mode.

Boris just ate shit, and I love it.

In this mode, four players get to compete against each other in five different deathmatches. Normal is a basic deathmatch game, that can be a free for all, or teams. You Only Live Twice, gives players only two lives before they are eliminated from the game. In the Licence To Kill mode, players can die from one hit, with any weapon. The Living Daylights mode, a flag is placed on the map, and the objective is to see which player can hold the flag the longest. Finally, my favorite mode is The Man With The Golden Gun. In this mode, a golden gun is placed on the map, players try to find it, and one that finds it, uses it, while the others try to kill that player with it, and retrieve it for themselves. The gun is so powerful, that it is a one hit kill, no matter where the bullet hits.

…High-res texture pack? Huh…

This game is so much fun, and you can see where many modern first person shooter games got there start. The game has been remastered, but if you want the original for your Nintendo 64, you can get it here. Until next time Painkillers.

Captain Pain approves this post!!!
