Polite, we know.
Good morning loyal Painkillers and anime fans, and welcome to another addition of Anime Wednesday. Today I have an odd one for you. Weather you are half baked, fully baked, or not baked at all, this comedy has a bit of everything for everyone. Hell, the Chairman has been asking me about this show, since I started doing anime reviews. So without further delay, let’s dive into Super Milk Chan.
This cracked out show follows Milk. She is a five year superhero. You can’t really tell if she has actual superpowers or not. Well unless you count shooting off pop culture references as a superpower, than yes she does. She is a foul mouth little cunt that tends to make everyone around her miserable. She lives in a house with Tetsuko, her malfunctioning robot maid, and her pet slug Hanage.
Tetsuko tries to be the voice of reason, and tries to keep Milk in line, but Milk usually quickly shuts Tetsuko down, and calls her a dumbass. Hanage is a pet that I wish I could have. He is a middle age slug with a heavy drinking problem (finally a pet I can have some beer with). He is unable to speak, even though he knows multiple languages ( What!? How the hell does that work?). There are other crazy characters in this show such as Milk’s landlord, and the President, but you have to watch this show to see for yourself.
This show is really funny, and a must watch. The only bad thing with this show is that since it came out in the early 2000s, almost all ofthe pop culture references didn’t age well. The show has been on many TV networks, streaming services, and anime websites, since its release, so it shouldn’t be hard to find. If you want to own it, you can get the vol 1 dvd here. Sorry no box set. Until next time everyone!
