When Disaster Hit

Duck and cover, mother fucker.

Good morning Painkillers, and welcome to another addition of Anime Wednesday. Today I figured with all the natural disasters that have been happening around the world the past few months, and now that we are in hurricane season, it seemed only right to do an anime based on a natural disaster. So without further delay, let’s dive into Tokyo Magnitude 8.0.

The show starts off as if it is just an ordinary day in Japan. Our main characters, Mirai and Yuki are on their way to a robot exhibition, when an earthquake hits causing massive damage. Along with Mari, a motorcycle courier, they help each other trying to make their way back home.

The show is really good, and let’s you know how quickly things can change in life. With all these natural disasters, and the ones made by man, it’s hard to prepare for everything that can possibly happen. It is still good to have some kind of emergency plan, just in case something happens. You can find this 11 espisode series on Hulu. Check it out when you get a chance, and remember to stay safe out there. Until next time Painkillers.
