Good morning Leaguers, loyal Painkillers, and first time views, and welcome to another addition of Saturday Morning Cinema. Today we are going to be going back to one of my favorite franchises, Gundam. So, I figured what better way to to do this, but to do the movie that is from my favorite Gundam series. So let’s sit back and enjoy, it time to dive into Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.
The movie opens up with how the series ended. The war between Earth and the space colonies ends, Treize Khushrenada is dead, OZ is no more, and there is finally peace between Earth and space. Deciding that the Gundams would not be needed in a time of peace, all the Gundam pilots, except for Wufei, load their Gundams onto a ship, and set them on a one way trip into the sun. As this is happening, all hell is about to break loose, and ruin this time of peace.
On the newly finished colony L3 X-18999, Relena Darlian was kidnapped, and brought to the colony’s leader, seven year old Mariemaia Khushrenada. She is the daughter of Treize Khushrenada. She is the face of the revolution, but is merely just a puppet, being controlled by her grandfather Dekim Barton. Their plan is to carry out the original Operation Meteor, which was to drop a colony onto the earth, and take out survivors with a mobile suit. So now it is up to Heero and the other Gundam pilots to retrieve their Gundams, stop Operation Meteor, stop the revolution, and hopefully bring peace to earth and space once again.
This movie is really good, and a very nice way to close out this series. The animation alone is enough to to watch this. The way that the Gundams looked in the show, and how they look in the movie is simply amazing. I don’t want to spoil things for anyone, so definitely check it out for yourself. For those of you that haven’t seen the Gundam Wing series yet, I wrote about it a while back, and there will be a link done below. For the rest of you, go hit up Crunchyroll, and see this movie. Until next time everyone!
