Oh, The Awkwardness!

Good morning my loyal Painkillers, and welcome to another addition of Anime Wednesday. Today, I’m going to give you an anime that is way out of my comfort zone, yet I still found it to be cute and funny. Wait, did I just called something cute? Damn I must be getting soft in my old age. Anyway, let’s get into this show. Here is Tsurezure Children.

Think back to your middle/high school days. Maybe you are currently going through these years now. If you are, have you had your first crush yet? Have you, or do you remember first kiss? Do you remember the awkwardness of telling someone how you felt about them? What about how to deal with that other person in this new relationship. If any of this sounds familiar, or you are currently dealing with this, then you can relate with everything that goes on in Tsurezure Children.

This short anime series follows a bunch of different high school students, as they try to confess their love for a fellow student. All the kids go to the same school, so some of the storylines tend to overlap. The kids deal with most issues involving love, such as confession feelings, first kisses, awarkness dealing with that other person, and even asking to grab a boob. My favorite one is with the two that never even kissed, seems like they are about to jump straight to sex, since the girl’s mother told her to carry protection just incase, and before anything happens the boy’s mother walks in, quickly leaves out, and warns the father not to come upstairs. Sorry for giving that away, but trust me there are so many good moments in this series, that giving away that one won’t matter. You can find it on Crunchyroll as well as Funamation, so whichever one you have will be fine. Until next time Painkillers.
